A Colorful Wild Flower
Wild flowers are always great to photograph. For this image, I used a Nikon 55mm Micro lens and electronic flash for illumination.

This image of tulips was taken at the Melbourne flower show using film and scanning using a Minolta scanner. Image was taken with a Nikon FM2 camera.
Daisy Flower Close Up, Nikon 200mm Micro
This image was taken at 1/1250 second, f/13, with a Nikon D2H and 200mm Micro lens. The 200mm lens is an extremely sharp lens close up, however it is difficult to hold steady and this image was taken with a monopod to steady the camera.
A Flower Festival with the Nikon 105mm VR Lens
This year I went to the Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, flower festival. This event is highly recommended, as the many flower beds were a blaze of color.
I nearly did all the photography with the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 G VR Micro lens. This is a marvelous lens for photography of flowers. The VR (vibration reduction) is not all that usefull for close up photography work, but it is a marvelous lens with the VR for general photography with the VR.
At this festival there was a street parade and the VR proved very usefull. I have taken images, down to a shutter speed of 1/10 second and they have been exceptionally sharp.
